Calculation LOS distance: (LOS = Loss Of Signal)

Rule-of-thumb method:



Multiply your height in ft by 1.5, the take the square-root of that number & this value is the approximate distance in miles your signal will go to the horizon. (The actual distance is a bit further due to reflections & refraction.)
